Aesthetics and Practicality

Beauty that enhances practicality” is Pama’s motto. The two terms “aesthetics” and “practicality” summarise the advantages of flocking rather well, a coating that actually gives added value to a product, enhancing it with new physical and aesthetic properties.

The flocking (or flock coating) technique was initially devised for mere decorative purposes, to confer a stylish and luxurious appeal to articles of all types, such as the containers of precious objects (jewellery, prestigious wines, optical instruments etc.).

Flocking has been tested over the years and its utilisation extended to many other functions, to a variety of articles and products, related to the intrinsic characteristics of the flock fibres. In fact, flocking is currently exploited in a wide range of merchandise sectors.
